Are there any limitations to using Rebuy?
1. It is one of the highest priced apps on Shopify and is quite complex to use that might require developer skills. In contrast, Monk can be set-up within a couple of hours without knowing any coding and if something does require custom code our support team can do it on your behalf 2. Rebuy controls the entire cart including the checkout button, creating a single point of failure & if their servers go down, it will hamper conversions on your store (cc CrowdStrike & Microsoft). Unlike Rebuy, Monk doesn’t create a cart of its own - the app simply embeds its widgets within your theme’s native cart and your theme has complete control on the checkout button 3. Rebuy’s free gift with purchase module is very basic - this implies that brands need an alternate app along with Rebuy to run such offers. In comparsion, Monk’s is a unified upsell & gift app with the gift with the purchase features being much more detailed and granular. This can come in handy when you run sales particularly around Black Friday and Christmas
Are there any limitations to using Monk?
Monk does not create a cart of its own but rather embeds its widgets into your native theme (we do this using JavaScript and do not alter any existing theme code). This can sometimes create theme compatibility issue with the theme overriding the app’s display. To overcome this, we have a dedicated technical support team that can fix any theme compatibility issues in less than an hour
